Buraku Liberation League

The Buraku Liberation League (Buraku kaiho domei) is perhaps the most prominent of the various burakumin human rights groups in Japan The BLL was founded in 1946 and assumed its present name in 1955. It campaigns for improvements in the social and economic status of burakumin in Japan, and attempts to combat prejudice against burakumin in Japanese society. (from Wikipedia)
