Kanto region

(lit. "east of the barrier"). Located in east central Honshū, consisting of Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Gumma, Ibaraki, and Tochigi prefectures. This is Japan's most heavily populated region and is the political, economic, and cultural center of the nation.
